EVENT TIMING

Arrivals can start as early as 1pm.

We’ll start the event officially at 2pm.

Closing ceremonies begin at 6:30pm and event ends at 7pm. You’ll have till 8pm to find a way off campus or catch the shuttle to your car.

PARKING

If you’re parking, we’ve arranged to have you park at a church less than two miles from campus. There will be a tent with a sign to let you know you’re at the right place. We’ll have passenger vans shuttling people to the campus starting at 1pm and running until no one is showing up.

At the end of the evening, we’ll shuttle you back to your car starting at 7pm and ending when everyone has made it off of campus.

UBER/TAXI/DROPOFF

If you’re being dropped off, simply tell the guard at the front gate that you are here for the grand opening and he will let you through. You’ll need to show him your ticket either physically or on your phone. He’ll have a list of all the attendees, so a name will work as a last ditch effort.

Your Uber/Taxi/shuttle will be able to exit the campus after dropping you off.

At the end of the evening, you’ll want to arrange a ride. They can pick you up on campus as needed. We recommend keeping their phone number or business card to make sure you have a ride.\

Don’t worry. Whatever happens, we won’t close the campus and ditch you on the street.

REGISTRATION

There will be a registration tent at the front of Tuscan Hall. Head there first. That’s where you’ll get your wristband, hand stamp (for those of you over 21) and maps/schedules.

We’ll start the entire day at Tuscan Hall

WATER

It’s October in Texas. It could be hot. It could be freezing. It could be raining. Who knows. We’ll have water stations setup on campus that you can use to refill containers for free. Bring a reusable water bottle of some sort.

FOOD

We’ll have food trucks and a coffee truck on campus from 4pm till 7pm. It’s going to be good stuff. They’ll all take credit cards as necessary.

DISTILLERY

The Crowded Barrel tasting room (Fang and Feather) will only be serving cocktails created specifically for the event and merch made just for the grand opening. If you want to try our whiskey neat, we'll be pouring it down at Tuscan Hall with the other distilleries!

WHISKY FESTIVAL

Head down to Tuscan Hall to try whisky from 15 different Texas distillers. They’ll be pouring from 2pm-4pm and 5pm-6pm. Our guests will be:

ACOPON BREWING

Acopon is the brewery that will be handling all of our mash and fermentation runs. You’ll be able to taste their beer at Veranda Room located next to the Welcome Center.

TOWER TOURS

Every 15 minutes, there will be tours of the Wizard’s Tower that include the famous Whisky Vault. You can sign up for that list at the Welcome Center. We’ll limit it to 20/tour, so sign up early if you want to be guaranteed an early spot.
